Uncomplicated charge controllers for automatic lighting and other tasks

The Sunlight 10 and 20 are simple 12-volt solid-state PWM charge controllers with automatic light control, and low voltage disconnect for battery protection. Connect a battery, a PV panel, and a 12V gizmo, voila, you’ve got a system that automatically turns on your sign lighting, stairway light, or other PV-powered task at dusk. The Sunlight 10 will handle up to 10 amps input or output, the Sunlight 20, up to 20 amps. If voltage falls below 11.7V, a low voltage disconnect occurs, and will not let the light run until battery voltage recovers to 12.8V. Charge control can be set for either sealed batteries, at 14.1V, or wet-cell batteries, at 14.4V, with a simple jumper, and provides reverse current protection at night.
